My Background & Interests

Hello again! Thanks for clicking over to learn more about me. I find it equally as important, for the sake of building a trusting relationship, that you know tidbits about me, too!

But firstly, let me just say, I AM PROUD OF YOU FOR BEING HERE! Reaching out for help is not an easy task. I am honored that you have chosen to read more about me, in hopes that we can start working together soon!

I attended Delaware Valley University in Pennsylvania for my undergraduate degree in Counseling Psychology. From there, I attended Rowan University in New Jersey for my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Since obtaining my LPC, I have had a variety of experiences in mental health care: I have provided individual, family, and group therapy to children and youth in the foster care system, I have worked at an adult inpatient psychiatric hospital, I was a clinician at a substance abuse rehabilitation center, and most recently worked at a group private practice as an individual therapist.

I have a toddler daughter and an infant son! Pregnancy, labor/delivery, postpartum, and motherhood are HARD. From my experience, I recognized the lack of support for women and birthing people who struggle and need help.

All of these experiences have led me to the here & now! After being at the group practice for about 2.5 years and having my first baby, I became really motivated and inspired to start a practice of my own so I can assist as many people as possible in healing and wellness.

My Approach

I blend my style of therapy using evidence-based treatment (what's proven to work) with holistic and individualized methods (it's not one-size fits all). I care about what makes you, you. I care about the journey you have taken and the journey you wish to take. I strive to assist you in creating the life you want to live through healing past/present wounds and focusing on ways to increase your quality of daily life.

I believe that love is love. I am unequivocally an LGBTQ+ ally and BLM supporter. I am human first, therapist second. I am consistently and constantly learning and unlearning. I believe that it is important to challenge our socialization and have ongoing dialogue around multicultural diversity, gender/sex discrimination, and all pivotal and relevant social justice issues. I believe it is important to unpack all our own "stuff" so that we can become the best version of ourselves and best serve those around us (especially our children) by not letting past experiences hinder new ones.

I am a firm believer that a strong therapeutic relationship is invaluable. It is pivotal that you feel genuinely cared about, heard, and supported. We are a team: I take a collaborative approach. I am here to help you learn skills to assist yourself in healing, and gain confidence to realize that YOU ARE CAPABLE of living the life you'd like to have.

I hope we can connect and work together through all the ups and downs of the therapeutic journey!
